About
After nearly four well-rounded years at the University of Iowa, I'll be graduating in May 2026 with high distinction and honors. I am pursuing a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication on a strategic communication track, as well as a B.A. in International Relations on a conflict & foreign policy track.
I'm skilled at writing and creating content for different media, purposes, and styles. My strong eye for detail makes me an especially proficient editor, a talent supervisors and colleagues have commended. Most importantly, the combination of my professional, educational, and personal backgrounds forms my ability to strategically determine the best approach to ensure the right narrative reaches and resonates with the right people.
Several internships, jobs, and student organization positions have developed my storytelling skills. During a summer internship at Images Inc., a public involvement and strategic communications firm, I drafted and edited a variety of materials to create engaging and informative messaging with the goal of fostering public support for transportation and infrastructure projects. In my position as a marketing associate for the University of Iowa College of Law, I continue to refine my writing skills while compiling public sentiment and market research, making analytics-based social media decisions, and growing our brand strategy.
On campus, I've prioritized client-facing courses that function as agencies. I've developed brands, created campaigns, and led successful and tactical communication plans both in and outside of the School of Journalism.
I'm motivated by connecting people with their interests and goals through clear and strategic communication. I plan to work in the industry for a handful of years after I graduate with my bachelor's. I'm seeking opportunities that will build on my communication, analytical, and professional skills, as well as offer involvement in a variety of projects. Eventually, I plan to transfer my skills and apply to law school—a different form of storytelling.
Beyond academics, I'm very involved in my Croatian community in Chicago, where I was born and raised. I enjoy skiing, traveling, and the occasional 1000-piece puzzle. I'm passionate about sharing stories with others—please reach out if you have one to tell.
